Hello Quo Vadis
We had a free morning to continue our site seeing of Bruges. We were blessed with a sunny day! Again we split up into small groups to check out the city. Some of us went on a boat cruise through the canals to get a good look at the city. It is a remarkably beautiful city! It was quite busy in Bruges but it turns out that tomorrow is a national holiday, Ascension Day, so that likely explains it. Outside of our hotel a midway was set up. On one hand it was interesting to watch all of the rides and action but on the other hand the constant screaming coming from the rides got to be a bit annoying!
At 3 pm we regrouped to meet with our guide, Rikko. Rikko has been our guide on each of our three cycling trips and it was great to see him again. Rikko took us on a walking tour to some places that we likely didn’t visit on our own, ending at our boat, the Quo Vadis.
We got settled into our cabins and then went outside to try out our bikes and make all of the adjustments for comfort. Then it was time for happy hour, a welcome drink and to meet the crew of the boat. That was followed by a delicious dinner. After dinner we had our briefing to prepare us for tomorrow. It was a full day and we are ready to get some sleep in preparation for a big day tomorrow!!
